Updates

Alrighty, so! I've made it into the Poets and Writers Directory. Very exciting. I've updated the website to represent the most current state of all my stories. Very exciting.

In other news, I might post the opening of the novel I'm working on for my MA degree. The concept is "Lovecraftian Rebecca," and after a lot of polishing I think I'm ready to put up the prologue and first chapter, though that's an issue for future Isabelle.

I'm also going to be doing NYC Midnight again! Shoutout to my mom for sponsoring my broke ass. If you aren't familiar with it (I wasn't before I started doing it lol) they give you three prompts: a character, a theme, and a genre. You need to write a short story utilizing all of those. If you're in the top five of your group, you progress to the next round. Each round is shorter and shorter than the last, until you're writing a 1k story (could be different, but it's in that area) in 24 hours. Last time, I made it to the penultimate round, so it would be cool to aim for the final round this time!

Lastly, might start posting book reviews. I aimed for reading 52 books last year and came up signficantly short of that, so this time I've halved the goal and, thanks to a transatlantic flight, I've finished four already.
